Aliquot.
Latin: a few, some, not many.
Noun.
- a portion of a larger whole, especially a sample taken for chemical analysis or other treatment.
- a quantity that can be divided into another whole number.
Verb.
- divide (a whole) into aliquots.
Arising from the notion that “We are all in the same storm, but not in the same boat; some of us have canoes, some have yachts, and others are in the water,” Aliquot Literary was born. Aliquot Literary was created out of a simple need to focus our creative energies beyond STEM and into STEAM.
As creatives, as artists, as writers, as human beings, sharing facts alongside our thoughts and feelings and emotions about climate change and the environment is part of what we do.
Individually, we are aliquots, but together, we are the flood. Aliquot Literary hopes to be a part of the vanguard of exploring the idea of actionable hope.
